AI assistant and chat history

When chat history is on (the default), your conversations with the chart assistant are stored with your account: what you write, the assistant's replies, the tools it used on your charts and the chart context attached to the chat. This lets you reopen a chat on any device.

Chart images you attach are sent to the AI model for that answer but are not kept: saved chats keep a placeholder instead.

Saved chats are kept until you delete them. You can delete a single chat from the assistant's History, or all of them in your account settings. Deleted chats disappear immediately and are permanently removed within 30 days. Deleting your account removes them at once.

You can turn off "Save chat history" in your account settings. New chats then stay in your browser only, and are cleared when you sign out.

Separately, we record how much each request costs (token counts, model and credits used) to enforce your monthly allowance. This usage record does not contain your messages.
